Visit Ravello

Ravello is on a ridge high above Amalfi. It  is an enchanting village with stupendous views, quite lanes, and two irresistibly romantic gardens – that of Villa Rufolo, where medieval ruins frame spectacural vistas, and the Villa Cimbrone, private estate open to the pubblic with spectacular views of the entire bay of Salerno.
Ravello was an important town of the Maritime Republic of Amalfi. The town in the years  was as a well done destination for musicians, artist  and writers, like as Richard Wagner, Giovanni Boccaccio, Virginia Woolf, Gore Vidal. There Wagner compesed the Parisfal, one of his most beautiful operas.

Our suggestion: if you like classic music don't miss the Ravello festival organized in honour of Richard Wagner.
